Champions League winners Real Madrid - including Luka Modrić and Mateo Kovačić - have also retained their UEFA Super Cup title.

Arena Philip II at Macedonian capital Skopje hosted this year's UEFA Super Cup clash between Champions League winners Real Madrid and Europa League winners Manchester United.

Real Madrid retained the trophy, courtesy of 2:1 victory. Casemiro (24') and Isco (52') were on target, while Lukaku scored the lone goal for the English side on 62 minutes.

Croatia captain Luka Modrić was in Real Madrid starting lineup and has played the entire 90 minutes. Mateo Kovačić was among the Real Madrid substitutes.
