Ferdo Milin takes the reigns at Croatia U-19, succeeding Zoran Vulić, who went to coach RNK Split.

Holiday season did not stop Croatian Football Federation's Experts Committee to fill in the void left by Zoran Vulić's departure to RNK Split. Upon Executive Committee approval, Ferdo Milin was appointed the head coach of Croatia U-19 national team.

Milin, a 37-year-old, signed a two and a half year contract, with the Elite round of the EURO qualifiers as his first task. Croatia U-19. plays Italy, Scotland, and host nation Austria from 26 to 31 March 2015.

"We have thought over a couple of candidates, including Robert Jarni and Goran Vučević, but they were committed to other projects, and in the end decided in favour of Ferdo Milin, who has already shown football knowledge and potential. He is a young, intelligent, and ambitious coach, a natural talent, and a quality solution for Croatia U-19", said HNS technical director Romeo Jozak.

Milin was at the helm of NK Zadar from 2012 to 2014, and a licensed UEFA A coach. "It is a great honour to become Croatia U-19 head coach. I have no doubt that Zoran Vulić left a firm foundation, and I look forward to the challenge, and work hard to achieve the desired goals", he said.
