In Pula and Medulin

HNS presents inaugural "Vlatko Marković" International Tournament

With the support of the FIFA Forward Development Programme, the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) will organize its first "Vlatko Marković" International Tournament, at which Croatia's U-15 team will be joined by seven additional U-15 national teams from all around the world.

The international U-15 tournament carries the name of a key figure in the modern history of Croatian football - former football player, national team head coach, football official and HNS honorary president Vlatko Marković, who led the Croatian Football Federation as its president between 1998 and 2012.

"Vlatko Marković left a deep mark on Croatian football, and he was especially dedicated to the development of young players. We are proud to be able to organize a tournament of this kind in his honor, as this shows how important investment into young talents and their growth is to the Croatian Football Federation," said HNS president Davor Šuker.

Eight international U-15 teams will participate at the tournament. Group A will be composed of Croatia, Argentina, China and Slovakia, while the four teams playing in Group B are Serbia, Mexico, Korea and Greece. The matches will be played between April 10 and 14 in Pula and Medulin. The tournament received financial support from FIFA through their Forward Development Programme.

The opening ceremony of the "Vlatko Marković" International Tournament will be held at Aldo Drosina Stadium in Pula, ahead of a match between Croatia and China. Entry to the tournament opening and to all matches is free.
