President of the Football Association of Zambia Andrew Kamanga visited HNS and met with HNS President Davor Šuker.

President of the Croatian Football Federation Davor Šuker welcomed president of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Andrew Kamanga to Zagreb, where he arrived to exchange experiences on football organization.

Along with meeting with president Šuker, the president of the Zambian FA also met with head of the international and licensing department Ivančica Sudac, teaching expert at the HNS Football Academy Boris Kubla, head instructor Petar Krpan and youth national teams secretary Josip Tomaško

President Kamanga met with Ivančica Sudac to discuss the organization of the HNS office on April 15, while Boris Kubla presented the curriculum of the HNS Football Academy and their approach to developing football coaches on April 16. Petar Krpan also presented the youth development system that produced Croatia's World Cup silver medalists, as well as the youth competitions system in Croatia and the success of all of Croatia's national teams.

"Our doors are always open to football friends from around the world. I am happy that Mr. Kamanga visited HNS and I am pleased that we could share the knowledge and experiences that we have, especially in terms of working with young players. We are proud that Croatian football is so highly valued worldwide and we want to develop our relations because we all share the same interest - developing football. I wish Andrew and his colleagues the best of luck and lots of success in developing Zambian football, which has already shown its potential when they won the U-20 Africa Cup in 2017," said president Šuker.

"This visit has been monumental and it has given me an insight into how football is organized in Croatia and why. I am grateful to president Šuker for his hospitality. Looking back at the past twenty years, Croatian football has been very successful. Croatia finished third in the world in 1998, and those players passed on their knowledge to the current generation that has brought Croatia the silver medal. In Zambia, we have a lot of talented players, and our biggest challenge has been making sure that our talents become world-class - we need the coaching and the technical structures to raise our game to a level where we can compete regionally and globally. We have seen the results that Croatia has delivered. They are second in the world now, but I will not be surprised if they make it to the top and become number one because all of the structure and the systems are working. If we can replicate what you are doing here in terms of coaching education and youth development, we believe our football will be transformed, and then we can also compete at a world level. I hope we will continue our cooperation," said president Kamanga.
